Basement Roma is a non-profit contemporary art center based in Rome, dedicated to supporting, producing, exhibiting, and furthering discourse on contemporary artistic practices.
Its exhibition program delves into the most current proposals of the contemporary art scene, focusing on the quests of the new generations of international artists, the new media, digital culture, and new languages. It also aims at expanding the boundaries of the local scene proposing new experimentation forms and exhibitions and challenging the role of a self-sustained and independent art center in Italy.
